RE5P3CT Rok, I admire your work even more as I would never put so much effort into a R4 engine - sorry but IMHO they are far form being smooth-runners and they all sound rubbish (especially the one I have got in my coupe ) no matter what exhaust you fit
I know some people would crucify me for this blasphemy but if you are looking for more BHPs/Nms then IMHO this is only a matter of time when you at least turbocharge it - as I see you are thinking big and going large so why not consider swapping it to a R5/R5T or V6/V6BiT? <ok>
after all, it is an absolutely mindblowing car your Compi, regards

The ACE engine is in the Competition for a reason, it's has the best weight/power ratio. It's light and not that weak. If you put a V6 or an R5 the weight ratio will come closer to the front, and the car will have more understeer - so that sux. The Competiton is not built for streight roads but for cornering, so let's leave it that way <ok>deejay.ftb pisze:why not consider swapping it to a R5/R5T or V6/V6BiT?

Ezu, you are right BUT let us not forget that Compi is a road-legal equivalent for DTM racer (we all know the only reason there are only 2500 made were homologation rules) so IMO that layout is more "FIAA-regulation-forced" than Audi`s own idea  I bet if the DTM regulations were different, Audi would not bother putting R4 engine. Just look at the S1 - FIAA allowed it so there is no trace of non-turbocharged R4, the same story for IMSA GTO and, going back to road legals, for S2/RS2 - do you think they are poor at cornering? I agree they are understeery but, let us be honest - all 4x4s are, including Compi <ok>
DTM racer, as you know, has an engine mounted further back than roadgoing car and the driver sits further back and more in the middle as well so R5/V6 would not mess weight distribution. What about 'civilians' with more weight at the front? Well, there is a war so there must be some losses...
Nevertheless, I think this a void debate because Rok will surprise us with his tweaks and mods

I think Skull isn't doing this car for to pursue oneself after the path with him or on the 1/4 mile, so why to break such a exceptional copy of the limited version down with change of the engine how it is possible to leave them in the original but to improve something there with a few fashions. I didn't change the engine from the same reason only I piled plenty of the cash balance in order to rebuild one's. But I think he doesn't have what sie to guess because Skull how it will look up here will say what is thinking of it.
Skull and you think hereafter about the change for DIGIFANT of the injection whether he is remaining KE-MOTRONIC?
yes you are right, there is no way i would put some other engine apart from a 2.0 16v inside. i will use some parts from an ABF engine, that has digifant injection, and that is all. i can achieve 200hp with that engine, and it is already more than i need.S³onik pisze:You have rights Ezu.Ezumaru pisze:The ACE engine is in the Competition for a reason, it's has the best weight/power ratio. funny thing is, that even the group b audis had plenty of understeer, and how did they cure that?deejay.ftb pisze:Ezu, you are right BUT let us not forget that Compi is a road-legal equivalent for DTM racer (we all know the only reason there are only 2500 made were homologation rules) so IMO that layout is more "FIAA-regulation-forced" than Audi`s own idea  I bet if the DTM regulations were different, Audi would not bother putting R4 engine. by adding more hp! hehe
they were mad geniuses, and poor drivers that had to drive that 8-)
Skull in order to assume the system wtryskowy executing how many difficult changes since ABF possesses the sensor of the position of the shaft and wheels are by all means from ABF pasowe 60-2 and the transplantation of this injection in the place KE-Motronic'a it is the heavy case.
It isn't necessary, installation of the DIGIFANT1 injection coming from the G60 engine for instance about the PG symbol is the much more simple solution almost to change beams electric because it will be sufficient to exchange pins in the ECU cube.

I don't know what he is working in details for from 60-2 but you are right from changing the block into the problem is remaining solved. From it what sie is informing it not changing the block also sie will give doing bigger changes, jeżdzi in PL a few of such cars. He is working no for it so but probably in order to reschedule the half engine together with the injection? I am not supposed Bord Computer so it isn't posing the obstacle to this moment for me at that time. However everyone is doing when he is careful because the matter is next the fact that you will obtain the better HP effect on Digi from ABF. Still scare heads up to the set from KR, has bigger sucking channels but also likes cracking between them.
here is what i think it should be done:
block and head from abf
engine brackets from ace
oil pan from ace
intake manifold from ace - remove kjet injectors with brackets, make custom fuel rail
water pump, alternator, pipes, everything around the engine from ace
throttle from ace
remove ace airbox, use sport conus filter
wire abf ecu - need to make wires longer
